**Education/Experience**:
**Key performance areas but not limited to the following**:

- Manage and lead the procurement function consisting of clerical staff (shipping and procurement), buyers and expeditors.
- Possess strong motivational, negotiation and people management skills.
- Effectively utilize the existing purchasing team and proactively monitor planned delivery dates and expedite, as necessary.
- Develop an effective cost reduction strategy across a diverse and globally distributed supply chain.
- Ensure close liaison with the Projects team providing regular updates on project deliverables.
- Plan and incorporate a strategic purchasing policy, working closely with other Group entities.
- Ensure existing Group procurement policies are adhered to.
- Collect and gather data on alternative suppliers, working with the Quality Manager where necessary to undertake audits and supplier assessments.
- Effective use of the automated procurement systems ensuring invoice payment is effectively controlled and managed.
- Carry out performance reviews and set KPI’s for the Procurement team.

**Skills set, experience and knowledge required**:

- Must possess a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and be goal oriented.
- Capability to work independently and deliver to agreed deadline with a result driven approach.
- Experience in dealing with complexity and managing a high volume of suppliers.
- Ability to create a positive stakeholder management and customer focused environment.
- Unendorsed Code 8 Drivers License.
- Fully computer literate.
- Profound skills in negotiation tactics and networking.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Experience working on ERP systems and Vendor Procurement Portals.
