Procurement Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee our procurement activities, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability in our supply chain.

**Job Purpose**:
The Procurement Manager will take full responsibility for managing the procurement of materials and services required for the manufacturing of our vessels. This includes overseeing supplier relationships, negotiating competitive pricing, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. The role also involves implementing best practices and supporting project development to meet the needs of our growing business.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company’s goals.
- Procure goods and services as specified by the Bill of Materials (BOM) and other business requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation, performance monitoring, and ensuring stability in supply.
- Coordinate national and international procurement, including inbound freight and bond store management.
- Maintain and oversee inventory levels to ensure continuous supply and mitigate risks of stock runouts.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfill their procurement requirements.
- Ensure adherence to best procurement practices and company policies throughout the organization.
- Manage the ordering process and maintain accurate procurement records on SAGE software.
- Provide support to new project development by sourcing materials and services.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement specialists, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards.
- Monitor and report on procurement activities and cost-saving initiatives to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in procurement and supply chain management.

**Desired Experience & Qualifications**:

- A relevant certificate, diploma, or degree in Procurement, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- At least 5 years of experience in a procurement management role, preferably in a large manufacturing environment or the marine industry.
- Experience with ERM software; SAGE experience is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, cost management, and logistics practices.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.

**Salary**: Negotiable, commensurate with experience.
