An exceptional opportunity awaits a dynamic individual who will essentially be responsible for overseeing internal audit management and ensuring compliance with regulations, internal policies and group requirements.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To plan, execute and report Annual Audit plan and calendar in a risk-based manner; ensure that the plan is backed by adequate human resource for appropriate implementation.
- To direct and control all audits to ensure that the laid down procedures are followed to protect the company's interest.
- To provide support by way of review of newly developed products, systems, policies and procedures.
- To identify and evaluate the risks arising from business activities, and provide opinion and viable solution on the same to management.
- To ensure that risks inherent in the review of processes/ transactions due to strategy of sampling are minimized to least possible size.
- To provide direction & guidance to audit team to improve workflows, for quality & operational efficiency, meet the assigned Turn-around-Time (TATs) at all times.
- To ensure a productive team environment to promote coordination, continuous learning and mutual growth at all times.
- To maintain effective relationship with co-sourced auditors, external auditors and regulators, provide assistance as necessary.
- To liaise on a regular basis, with the Management Committees, for ensuring compliance to audit exceptions.
- To directly report to the Board Audit Committee.
- To keep a close liaison with the Head of Group Internal Audit in updating on emerging risk/control/fraud/ regulatory/external audit related matters.

**The following minimum requirements must be met to be considered for this position**:

- CA/CIA/CPA qualification is preferred.
- At least 10 years of relevant audit experience in the banking industry, with at least 3 years of experience working at management level.
- Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements along with local business & economic conditions, particularly within the banking sector.
- Highly positive, focused & composed decision maker. Excellent in team & people management. Able to work under pressure whilst retaining the essence of good interpersonal skills and strictly adhering to the deadlines.
