The purpose of the Manager: Events and Stakeholder Relations (KNP) role is to draft and execute stakeholder and event solutions and strategies aimed at promoting a positive perception and brand of SANParks in line with the organisation’s values, programmes, policies and strategies.

**Requirements**:

- 3-year degree or diploma in Communications /Public Relations/ Media Studies.
- Minimum of five years experience in Stakeholder Relations or Events Management related industry.
- Basic project management experience.
- Understanding of protocol etiquette.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of the tourism and conservation industry.
- Diversity and change management skills.
- Be prepared to travel and work irregular hours under extreme pressure
- Computer Literary.
- Public Relations’ code of ethics.
- Drivers Licence.
- Financial and budget management knowledge.
- A valid Code EB Driver’s licence.
- Sound knowledge of international relations.
- Problem-solving ability and decision-making skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Draft, implement and evaluate stakeholder relations and event management plans
- Identify, initiate and implement stakeholder collaborations that can enhance the SANParks brand
- Implement stakeholder and event management solutions that are in line with the SANParks communication strategy and plans
- Develop and maintain a stakeholder database
- To draft and maintain an events calendar
- Convene debriefing sessions and draft project implementation assessment reports
- Coordinate and support visits of key stakeholders, including international delegates
- To design and implement events for staff related occasions
- To organise and implement revenue-generating events on behalf of Kruger National Park
- To draft fundraising proposals and negotiate with potential sponsors for support of various projects at Kruger National Park
- To contribute articles of events held for publishing in SANParks’ publication
- To advise management on various issues related to functions and events
