Position Description:
**Purpose of the job**

The AP Manufacturing Clerk within the Accounts Payable SSC function will support the** **AP Accountant: Manufacturing and Prestige, to ensure that all CMT factories and Suppliers are paid accurately and timeously.

This role will be responsible for ensuring deliverables are executed as per the time and quality standards agreed in the Accounts Payable SLAs.

- 1-3 years of relevant working experience

**Qualification**
- Matric required, with an advanced Diploma or equivalent certification in Finance/Accounting as preferable

**Key Performance Areas**
- Process all creditors payments and associated activities as per agreed SLA;
- Follow up on unacknowledged stock;
- Communicate with Buyers on any unit cost discrepancies;
- Check invoices against SYNC and SAP system and check for discrepancies;
- Issue claims to suppliers for returns;
- Process all journals and journal adjustments timeously and accurately;
- Complete weekly and monthly remittances accurately and timeously;
- Perform and complete all supplier account reconciliations and communicate to suppliers accordingly;
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping for all accounting activities for audit purposes;
- Respond to supplier queries and escalate to the responsible stakeholders if necessary;
- Adhere to regulatory payment requirements;
- Process all manual entries onto SAP and make sure the correct GL codes and cost centres are used.
- Work alongside the Accounts Payable teams to ensure all month end and year end processes are accurate and completed as per the agreed timelines and guidelines;
- Check all statements and where discrepancies have not been resolved query it and escalate it timeously.

O SAP system knowledge will be an advantage
