IQbusiness is in search of an Operations Consultant/Specialist to support the COO of the business.
The Operations Consultant/Specialist is responsible for Supporting the Chief Commercial Officer with the following areas:
- Implementing internal initiatives
- Commercial Support to the Chief Operations Officer (Financial and Project related)
- Developing and enhancing business processes identifying areas where efficiency can be optimized
- Commercial Support to Line of Business leaders and COO in Bid management
- Integration of new subsidiaries
- Project Review
- Business Optimisation activities when required
A skilled Operations Consultant/Specialist has a keen ability to deliver on business needs (internal clients), strategic initiatives and internal operational demands. A background in audit, finance or project review is essential
Project Implementation - Key from a client perspective is that projects remain on schedule, on budget, and are delivered with guaranteed business satisfaction
**Role Qualifications & Experience Requirements**:
- Finance qualification and at least 5 years’ experience in a commercial role
- Junior CA(SA) / CFA / CIMA would be advantageous
- Strong business acumen (commercial and financial skills) - demonstrable
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate commercial and detailed understanding of consulting / professional services business - preferably been in a consulting / advisory business
- Excellent time management, organizational, complex problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Natural ability to monitor and facilitate operational activities to ensure that all deliverables are running according to project plans and intuitively know when to act to avoid / resolve problems
- Excellent attention to detail
- Resourceful
- Ability to work well under pressure and possess a high degree of tenacity
- People management skills and a team-player
**Technical Experience Requirements**:
- Commercial experience (Financial)
- Strong understanding and experience with financial reporting
- Project management experience (Advantageous)
- Proficient with the technology needed for professional services business operations as well as the ability to identify and assess new technologies which could add value to the business

- Bid management process Support
- Line of Business Support - Proposal Costing
- Pre-submission Gross Margin reviews
- Proposal reviews
- Management Information Systems (MIS)
- Development of System requirements / User requirements from Business
- MIS Application testing vs Specifications
- Process enhancement
- Current process review & To-be process design
- Design, implement, and project manage enhancements
- Integration Support
- Project Manage integration activities
- Support to new acquisitions
- On-boarding with Shared Services
