We are looking for an experienced Brand Manager who will be responsible for the launching, marketing and wholesale distribution of a portfolio of international beauty brands in South Africa. **Job Overview** As a brand manager at Alarasi International (Pty) Ltd, you will be responsible for marketing various international beauty brands and developing a wholesale distribution network for these brands throughout South Africa. **Key Responsibilities** - Brand Performance_ - Develop and execute brand strategies and marketing plans that resonate with the target market that drive market share growth. - Analysis of brand strategy and performance and effect changes as needed. - Accurately set annual wholesale budgets for the brands and formulate plans to alleviate sales deficits. - Effective adaption of global strategies to suit the SA market and to meet the retailer's expectations. - Monitoring retail prices in the market to ensure the brands remain competitive while at the same time monitoring brand ex-works and forex trends and formulating strategies to manage pricing effectively - Research and analyse consumer behaviour, market trends and competitor activity. - Keep abreast of emerging markets and market shifts with an awareness of new products and competition status, providing market and customer feedback. - Stay up to date with current market trends. - Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure full support of the brands in the market. - Establishment of brand activities (trade marketing, media, new launches etc.) to drive market share growth. - Sales_ - Develop and execute the wholesale strategy that will drive brand sales and maximise profitability. - Prospect and qualify new wholesale leads. - Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects - Create, plan, and deliver presentations on company products - Track all sales activities in the company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly - Communicate customer and prospect product pain points - Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects - Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements - Increase product sales and market share. - Achieve positive sales growths monthly and annually through the development and driving of "sell out" strategies - Monitor competitor activity and plan the appropriate response. - Responsible for achieving the agreed objectives and sales targets for the wholesale channel of the brands. - Build and promote strong commercial relationships with wholesale clients by understanding their needs and objectives. - Liaise with wholesale clients regarding in-store space allocations. - Create sales aids for the brands. - Assist in setting up and driving sales at events/launches/retailer activities. - Provide feedback on sales/customer-related issues or concerns. - Identify and implement new ideas to drive sales. - Manage beauty consultants and promoters to achieve their set KPI's monthly and conduct quarterly performance review sessions. - Be knowledgeable about the brands. - Marketing_ - Build the 360° marketing plan for the brands, including Consumer Engagement, Trade Marketing, PR, CRM - Set up of yearly product and promotional launch plans and calendars across the multiple brands - Plan and execute marketing initiatives, including ad campaigns, events, sponsorships and corporate social responsibility programs. - Build brand awareness and increase brand value and profitability. - Partner with wholesale clients to drive effective demand management on event forecasting for in-store activities (e.g. promotions). - Create exciting and engaging graphics for social media channels and communication messages. - Development of support material for events, activations/engagement and other business development initiatives. - Coordinate brand marketing events and webinars (internal and external), including overseeing logistics, managing registrations, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries, and creating marketing material. - Planning and organising digital brand campaigns and facilitating their success. - Managing relationships with external vendors such as social media influencers to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs and to ensure competitiveness. - Design, update and distribute electronic product catalogues, display guidelines and flow cards. - Ensure that messaging and marketing activities are aligned with brand and company values. - Budget and Financial Management_ - Establish budgets, performance specifications and sales estimates. - Management of marketing and expense budgets - Management and analysis of A&P spending to ensure effective usage thereof and ensure a ROI and brand profitability - Manage expenses related to events, launches and promotions - Ensuring achievement of wholesale budgets across all retailers - Ensuring market share growth across all retailers - Prepare monthly performance reports for the brands. - Measuring and r
