- _ Must have a completed Bachelors Degree or National Diploma (Industrial Psychology, Industrial & Labour Studies) _
- _Minimum 5 years of proven IR/ER experience (IR experience in the logistics/transport industry will be an added advantage)_
- _ Must have a good track record in dealing with CCMA and Unions._

**_Responsibilities: _**
- _Lead Industrial Relations / Employee relations expertise to the business within the area of responsibility. _
- _Industrial Relations Responsible for maintaining good relations with employees and the union in the business._
- _ Managing and leading all Union and Management Meetings Development and Implementation of the site IR & ER Strategy. _
- _Be the specialist on disciplinary / grievance procedures for the factory site. _
- _Proactively identify areas of potential conflict._
- _ Represent the company at CCMA and brief attorneys to assist with labour court disputes._
- _ Employee Relations Manages relationships between management and employees and lead initiatives to improve relationships between management and employees. _
- _Accountable for Employment Equity on-site, alongside HR Manager/EE Manager. _
- _Drives the employment equity forum/committee on site. (Organise meetings and ensure minutes are taken and distributed.) _
- _Ensure actions are followed up from meetings Active Participation in Comms forum Active Participation in the drafting of constitutions with a view to positively influence the constitution. _
- _Coordinating and leading meetings between Management and Union Support site HRBP on coordinating and involvement at team building sessions. _
- _Ensuring record keeping of all IR/ER-related proceedings and maintaining a database e.g. Minutes, disciplinary documents, agreements etc. _
- _Drafting agreements reached in meetings. _
- _Liaising between Union and Management to keep the dialogue open. _
- _Making recommendations regarding way forward discussions. _
- _Deal with employee queries, employee policies and procedures, and site Management Union agreements (substantive and recognition and committee related as well as project related. As well as updates thereof_
