**DEBT COLLECTION AGENT REQUIRED - CAPE TOWN**

Our company, a leader in the health and fitness industry, requires the services of a Debt Collection Agent to start immediately. The incumbent for the role will be responsible for interacting directly with members to collect outstanding debit orders and to resolve outstanding membership account balances.
- Managing membership accounts that are in arrears
- Taking responsibility of debtors age analysis reports
- Courteous yet efficient communication with customers regarding outstanding payments
- Maintaining a record of contact with debtors on collection spreadsheets
- Determining a deadline for payment and following up on the payment of the arrear accounts
- Attending to the needs of debtors and effectively resolving their queries
- Submitting daily, weekly and monthly collection reports for various audiences

**Minimum Criteria**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years administrative or debt collecting experience in a professional office environment
- Above average computer literacy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (telephone skills, internal communications and client relations)
- An excellent command of at least two or more South African languages
- Uses own initiative, be proactive and problem solver
- Trustworthy, honest, punctual and respectful
- Demonstrate sound work ethic

**Basic salary plus competitive commission structure available.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

- Bellville, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Debt Collection: 2 years (preferred)
