Who Are We Looking For?

Are you organized, proactive, and eager to work in a fast-paced environment?

Skills Academy is looking for a dedicated Collections Agent who can engage with students, ensure timely payments, and help them stay on track with their studies. If you're service-oriented with a strong drive to succeed, this role is for you

Responsibilities Include:

Customer Service & Issue Resolution

  • Reach out to every student in your book every month by phone, email, and SMS.
  • Identify and escalate outstanding service issues to relevant departments, following up until the student's needs are resolved.

Retention and At-Risk Student Management

  • Give extra attention to "At-Risk" students who have missed assignments or payments, offering support and sending motivational messages to encourage their continued studies.

Payment Collection

  • Contact students who miss payments until they make payment. Contact the day after to arrange for payment.

Overdue Accounts

  • Proactively work with overdue students from the first to the last day of each month, securing promises to pay and documenting payment dates.
  • Send follow-up emails after each call and reach out again on agreed payment dates to reinforce commitments.

Persistent Contact Attempts

  • If a student doesn't respond, make up to four attempts daily until they are reached.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Matric qualification; additional training in collections or customer service is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and motivate students.
  • Familiarity with collections systems or CRM tools is a plus.
