**Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geographic Information

Systems or Geography and/or Information Systems with
geospatial major
- A minimum of 8 years post graduate advanced ESRI ArcGIS

electrical utility environment.
- Supervisory experience
- Experience in Python, ArcGIS Arcade, SQL, Excel, Access
- Sound project implementation skills, particularly in GIS projects
- Experience in spatial and relational database design, Experience

in systems analysis and design, Experience in GIS research and
- Driver’s licence (Code EB)

Key Performance Areas
- Develop long and short-term strategies to include performance

goals and staffing, with respect to departmental and business
unit requirements
- Manage the sourcing, hosting and dissemination of EGD asset

master data, monitor and enforce data policies, access control
and security. Direct the maintenance of the spatial and related
data catalogue, metadata and databases to ensure data security
availability, integrity and quality, to enable evidence-based
- Manage the bulk processing of source data into the required

format in order to fulfil departmental requirements and enable
- Manage the ongoing examination, assessment and verification

of data quality and integrity in data hosting structures, and advice
management and sections on nonconformity and required
corrective measures to be implemented.
- Managing data analysis for the production of thematic maps

and reports in support of evidence-based decision-making in
EGD business processes, and developing Energy Portal-based
GIS dashboards that provide active status presentation on
reported measured.
