You will be working as Transport & Logistics Specialist, and will be the part of Electrification business area for Smart Power division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Sales Operations Manager and will be responsible to supports business function and/or business excellence centers to ensure goods are shipped whilst meeting quality, legal and costs parameters, develop, maintain and improve transport/logistics processes to optimize inbound and/or outbound product and material delivery to external and internal clients.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Utilizing various transportation software systems to facilitate material movement, planning and scheduling
- Preparing and updating monthly logistics schedule to ensure deliveries to production locations and coordinates product delivery schedule with customers
- Coordinating daily activities to track location and movement of inventory finished goods and raw materials via all transport modes and rerouting freight as needed to meet demands and minimize cost
- Communicating fulfilment status to logistics and Sales organizations as appropriate
- Working closely with transport service providers to assure efficient and effective execution of processes, assisting in obtaining necessary transport permits and codes and preparing proper transportation paperwork and export documentation
- Supporting the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and maintaining master data
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and ensuring compliance in a logistics environment

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, or a related field is often preferred
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in trade compliance and logistics
- Experience in managing administrative activities is required
- Experience in working with external vendors and suppliers to optimize transportation and logistics processes
- Proficiency in planning and executing transportation-related projects, or process improvements. Ability to use data analytics for, cost reduction, and process improvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for internal team communication, external stakeholder engagement, and reporting
