Divisional Head: Office of The Cio

-The main purpose of this position is to provide strategic direction and managerial leadership to various cross functional IT support capabilities comprising Business Support (finance, human resources, strategic sourcing, suppler management, IT asset management etc), IT Strategy, Operations, IT Governance, Risk and Compliance, Office Management and development of functional plans aligned to departmental strategy. -Detailed Description - D evelops and communicates strategic, tactical and operational IT plans and operating budgets across the various functional areas within BSTD that includes performance management targets and cascading goals. -- Manage delivery of divisional work objectives which includes: -- Facilitates the formulation of the IT strategy that supports the SARB’s strategy and assists in translating this to the IT departmental strategy and business plan -- Leads the IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Functions in line with leading best practices e.g. COBIT 19 and King IV -- Coordinate and direct the development of IT related policies and oversee implementation thereof. -- Contribute to the selection, control and evaluation of IT investments and links this to the budget process -- Lead (sponsor) IT initiatives and programmes that span across functions of the unit. -- Perform office management duties and ensure administrative support for the office of Chief Information Officer (CIO). -- Lead the embedment of sound business and financial (commercial, procurement etc) management practices across the IT department -- Provide administrative oversight to all functional areas with particular emphasis on day-to-day operations execution. -- Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements of the South African Reserve Bank (the Bank) and ensure that effective risk-mitigating measures are implemented, and manage the governance and risk for IT. -- Manage the performance and development of direct reports, motivate and enable teams, and oversee performance management for the entire unit. -Job Requirements - a minimum of Honour’s degree in Computer Science/ B Com Informatics OR equivalent combination of education and job-related experience. -- a minimum of 10-12 years of experience in either an IT Governance Risk and Compliance or IT strategy or IT business management environment with high-level exposure to all dimensions of the IT function OR similar environment, with at least five (5) years in a management role. -Additional requirements include: -- IT Governance, Risk and Compliance -- Vendor Management -- Project Management -- Budgeting -- Information Management -- Knowledge of appropriate IT Laws and frameworks -- Leading Change -- Establishing Focus -- Driving Results -- Promoting Team work -- Developing and Growing others -- Service & Stakeholder Focus -- Effective Communication -- Building & Maintaining Relationships -- Impact & Influence -- Negotiating -- Interpersonal Sensitivity -- Analysing & problem solving -- Planning & organising -- Judgement & Decision making -- Strategic thinking and strategy formulation -- Conceptual Thinking -- Manages Complexity and Ambiguity -- Innovation and Creativity -How To Apply -All interested parties are invited to apply. - All available vacancies will be visible. - To log in (right-hand side of the screen): -- Is this your first visit to our Job Site? > Register today (ensure that you include all your qualifications and skills during the registration process); or -- Already registered on our Job Site? > Already registered? > Login here. -- Date posted > Last 6 weeks (in the dropdown menu) -- Select the appropriate IRC number to view the full advertisement. - **The SARB offers remuneration and benefits commensurate with the level of the position and in line with the market.
