**purpose**:
- Junior resource in the Corporate Finance Equity Capital Markets team within RMB Corporate Finance to support equity capital market research, deal pitches and origination and participate in deal implementation and equity capital raise processes.**experience and qualifications**:
- Minimum requirement: Relevant degree (Business Science, Accounting, Economics)
- From new graduate level to newly qualified CA (3 years of articles completed)
- Knowledge of:
- Equity Capital markets
- Accounting and financial statements
- Basic knowledge of credit/ debt and tax principles (preferable)
- Basic financial modelling and valuation analysis (preferable)

**responsibilities**:
- Understand global and local macro environment and equity market trends. Understand the impact of these trends on the local equity capital markets, sectors and individual companies to identify themes and opportunities.
- Build relationships with clients (at the appropriate level), other teams within RMB and external advisors
- Attends key client events eg results presentations, AGMs
- Obtain and analyse data, financial information, news and research reports and assist in the preparation of client pitches and market update presentations to clients
- Provides high quality output with attention to detail when preparing documentation e.g. circulars, announcements, presentations
- Support transactions and complete allocated tasks to ensure successful transaction implementation. This includes allocating sufficient time to complete work, understanding inter-dependencies across teams, following up on client queries and suggesting changes to the schedule to enable the achievement of transaction objectives
- Understand the needs and demands of clients to ensure successful deal support/enablement.
- Be technically proficient in sourcing, utilising and analysing data. Use data and research to build presentations, financial models and valuations, validate bottom up models with experienced transactors
- Display a working knowledge of relevant systems and interdependencies between these systems
- Understand other product offerings in the bank and how these can / do integrate into corporate finance client solutions
- Develop working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (TRP, JSE Listing requirements, Companies Act)
- Demonstrates good time and work load management skills
