**Civil Construction Surveyor**
- Location: this position is national/ site-based_

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Plan and execute surveys for roads, earthworks, foundations and utility infrastructure.
- Perform accurate setting out of works to meet project specifications and tolerances.
- Use advanced surveying tools and software, including GPS, total stations, Civil Designer and ModelMaker.
- Analyse survey data and provide accurate calculations for construction planning and execution.
- Prepare detailed survey documentation, including topographic maps and volume calculations.
- Supervise Junior Surveyors and assistants, ensuring accurate and efficient surveying operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies in surveying activities.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and safety requirements in surveying.
- Oversee the accuracy, accessibility, security and storage of survey data.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment, troubleshooting issues as needed.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Education**: NQF Level 4 Occupational Diploma in Surveying or a Diploma in Surveying/Civil Engineering.**Experience**: 5-8 years as a surveyor in the construction industry.- Willingness to travel to remote sites and work in demanding conditions.-
- Familiarity with emerging surveying technologies and sustainable practices.
