As a technical assistant with us, you will:
1. Assist the Technical and Contracts Manager on day-to-day tasks.

2. Update the project files, both electronically and hard copies daily.

3. Manage stock and keep record of movements.

4. Assist with monthly stock takes.

5. Housekeeping of the work area.

6. Prepare Test, Inspect and book out products as per project requirements.

7. Compile Projects Files (Both electronic and hard copies)

8. Assist with value added process on all products as per project requirements.

9. Assist the appointed QMR (Quality Management Representative) with any/all quality related

10. Adhere to all Company Health and Safety Policies and Practices ensuring safe working practices are carried out at all times.

11. Carry out any lawful instruction issued by the Managers at LESA Items/procedures.

a. Mechanism Replacements,

b. Fitment of Motors/motorization,

c. Read and understand technical drawings,

d. General fault finding,

e. General understanding of protection settings and the working of the protection relay.

Key Accountabilities:
Administrator: Update the project files, both electronically and hard copies on a daily basis.
- Assist with monthly stock takes.
- Compile Project Files (both electronic and hard copies)
- Assist the appointed QMR (Quality Management Representative) with any/all quality related enquiries.
- Project files updated and completed.
- Reporting of all incidents timeously.

Projects/Warehouse:

- Prepare Test, Inspect and book out products as per project requirements.
- Carry out any lawful instruction issued by the Managers at LESA
- Load or unload pallets in an organized, sequential manner
- Manage the Health & Safety and housekeeping of your work area.
- Stores
- Stock Take
- Assist with any repairs/testing/ value added service, etc to existing

products.
- Accident reporting and preventive measures.
- Proper maintenance of tools and Measuring equipment used
- Warehouse always in good acceptable condition.
- Shelves packed and components stored in their respective areas.

Office Administration:

- General filling
- Assist the Technical and Contracts Manager in day to day tasks.
- Assist with customers liaisons if and when required.
- Provide clients with updates related to their Purchase Orders

Delivery notes must be filed correctly.
- Over
- and above your duties it is expected from you to assist other sections within the company to ensure LESA’s efficiency and productivity, within reasonable limits

Qualifications, experience & Skills:

- Minimum Experience (Technical, Contracts and Engineering)
- N4/National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering with minimum of 1 -2 years in electrical switchgear.
- Basic knowledge of electrical operations
- Basic knowledge of electrical drawings
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge in the use of basic hand tools
- Team player

Job-Specific Skills:

- Certified forklift driver
- Some technical background in the electrical field
- Team player
- Strong communication skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical testing equipment (handheld)
