- Reporting to the Debtors Supervisor- The Core responsibilities will be:
- Maintaining debt collections and ensuring that monthly and quarterly targets are achieved;- Ensure collection of all debtors happen within relevant parameters:
- Follow up with debtors on payments;- Ensure all invoices are paid timeously;- Give regular feedback on age analysis;- Accurately monitor all outstanding funds and follow up;- Ensure bank deposits are made and correspond with invoices and statements;- Follow up on outstanding unallocated receipts;- Follow up on and confirming payment commitments from customers;- Investigate and resolve queries on accounts;- Ensuring all transactions posted are substantiated with the appropriate/relevant backup documentation.- Regular follow up on any queries from customers on accounts;- Maintaining good relations with customers;- Allocating and posting of payments from remittances;- Preparation of settlement discounts, write offs and contra entries;- Cash forecast - daily allocation and updating of debtors spreadsheet;- Compiling daily debtors age on Excel;- Carrying out credit references and other research possibly required for new accounts;- Creating and opening of new accounts;- General Photocopying, Filing and maintaining a neat filing system;- Handling telephone Queries/Problems;- Liaison with internal personnel;- Always projecting a positive company image in interactions with customers;- Ensuring effective two-way communication with management takes place on a regular basis;- Any other ad-hoc duties in line with the operational requirements of the company as assigned by a member of management;- Time management-
**Inherent Requirements**- Have Debtors experience- Be computer literate (Excel and Word will be an advantage);- Have good oral and written communication, telephone and interaction skills;- Be assertive and be able to deal with customers in a firm and tactful manner;- Have good administration skills and the ability to multitask;- Have the ability to work under pressure and still maintain high standards;- Have analytical and problem solving skills;- Be a self-starter (pro-active), take initiative, deadline and results oriented;- Have good time management skills and good team working skills;**What Qualification**
