To Manage a team of Client Relationship Managers who provide administrative support to Portfolio Managers and enabling SPM to deliver excellent customer service to high net-worth clients. To plan, manage and monitor the implementation of Portfolio Management support activities and processes in order to deliver on approved operational plans as set out by Senior Management in an effective and efficient manner
**Job Description**:
Management & Support:
Provide ongoing support to Operations Senior Management, Advisors, Portfolio Managers in driving business development and subsequent business targets through monitoring and identifying opportunities within the operations environment, Contribute to tactical planning from an operational perspective. Implement and deliver approved operational plans.
Stakeholder Management:
- Actively promote the collaborative engagement of internal and external stakeholders of SPM including suppliers, clients, service providers, business partners and other ABSA entities.
- Co-operate as needed with key stakeholders e.g., JSE to deepen working relationships with regulators and other internal and external parties.
Client Engagement:
On a regular basis engage with clients around current service requirements to ensure client expectations are met and ultimately value created for business and client. Ensure RM team consistently supports Portfolio Managers in managing their Client Portfolios i.e includes but not limited to client query resolution, portfolio performance management, reporting and executing of client requirements
Risk and Control:
Ensure that all risk and control requirements relating to the portfolios are met and/or implemented as required, Ensure that team’s Operating Environment is in line with Risk Management standards
Business Development:
Agree financial targets with Senior Management /new business targets and set out tactical plans to achieve this on an annual basis
People Management: Coach, mentor and manage team members toward driving business objectives and ensuring colleague development (where applicable).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Matric
- Postgraduate degree and /or
- Three (3) year Certificate in Investment Administration or equivalent to NQF level 4
- Five (5) years’ experience as an Administrator within the Financial Industry.
Education
Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
