The workshop supervisor should be able to assist all machine operators within the recon workshop with expert machining guidance to ensure quality and efficiency from start to finish. The recon workshop supervisor is required to represent Scamont Engineering at site meetings. This includes conducting inspections and executing on repair processes to complete pre-inspection sheets on stripped pump components.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Technical understanding of the required repair processes to complete pre-inspection sheets on stripped pumps components in order to complete IRF (Incoming Repair Form) in accordance with the Client and internal repair standards
- Extensive knowledge on workshop functions for example; machining, milling, drilling and welding to assist operators with guidance during the repair process
- Ability to examine detailed drawings or specifications to established job, material and equipment requirements to ensure quality and efficiency is achieved by all machine operators with in the recon workshop
- Ensure proper and safe setups in order to machine components to approved drawing dimensions
- Observe machine operations to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions and adjust where necessary
- Ensure that machining tasks are completed in line with operational proceduresProficient in the use of measuring equipment to ensure components comply to the company quality standards
- Operate conventional machines including HBM and VBM

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Matric or NQF Equivalent
- Qualified Turner or Machinist (Vertical/Horizontal)
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Supervisor/Foreman
- Basic computer literacy with ability to read and write
- Strong communication and team work skills
