Field Sales Promoter

In this role, employees will be required to conduct Telkom promotional initiatives at various locations within Cape Town.

Promoter Agents greet/welcome customers _professionally_ and with a _positive attitude_ at all times. You are required to perform and adhere to all COVID-19 procedures, both when conducting promotions, and when performing duties within the workplace.

Promotor Agents will be granted the opportunity to complete Telkom systems training at one of its regional training centres. If the agent completes and passes the training course, they will be granted system access to process applicable deals, in relation to the kiosk/pop-up environment. Promoter Agents will conduct a Telkom needs analysis, recommend a suitable Telkom product or service, to match the customer needs, explain the package benefits and obtain the relevant credit vetting/RICA paperwork, through effective customer service, and selling techniques.

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Assist with the achievement of sales targets at indicated kiosk locations.
- Achieve individual targets as communicated by your line and regional manager.
- Adhere to **_“The Telkom Way”_** policy to ensure excellent customer service is provided.
- Maintain enthusiasm and ensure that energy levels are appropriate at all times.
- Greet and welcome customers when conducting promotions, and when you assigned to process in store.
- Generating new leads through various selling and promotional activities, and direct customers to stores/kiosks within the Feathercom channel.
- Promoting Telkom products and services which includes but not limited to**:_sim only deals, prepaid voice and data, top-up, post-paid voice and data, LTE, smart-voice, DSL, and Fibre packages._**
- Focus on up and cross selling specific Telkom products.
- Conduct a customer needs analysis to determine the reasons for visiting the store.
- Providing product information and service recommendations to match customer needs.
- Ensure BVS and V-DOC’s compliance within the store and ensure that discrepancies get resolved.
- Inform clients regarding relevant turn-around times and back office processes.
- Control number of customers in the store and manage the queue effectively outside the door, ensuring customers are spaced as per tape markings on the floor (one customer per available sales agent).
- Complete and update all relevant sheets, reports, trackers, as per company requirements.
- Help show customers how to adhere to social distance rules before entering our stores.
- Sanitize ALL individuals who enter the store.
- Sanitize key touch points such as door handles, counters, front of house equipment etc.
- Conduct customer screening such as temperature reading and confirming PPE requirements.
- Inform customers to complete the relevant customer store registers.
- Attend and complete all relevant Telkom/Feathercom trainings
- Keep updated with latest devices, trends, competitive products, and services.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Customer Service /Direct Sales experience (advantageous)
- Current tertiary students are encouraged to apply
