**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent and qualified individual to consult on Gender Responsive Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring, Evaluation and Auditing Framework (GRPBMEAF) and National Strategic Plan on Gender Based Violence and Femicide (NSP on GBVF), through monitoring, evaluation, reporting, coordination, mobilisation and capacity building. This position is based in the Western Cape Province.

**Minimum Requirements**:
An appropriate undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7); A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in data capturing and gender related fields

**Recommendation**:
Qualification in Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation Auditing, Budgeting and Gender or Transformation; Experience in the following: High competency of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, Access etc.). Advantages data management software/packages; Data management competencies (capturing, data mining, data souring and analysis etc. Experience in data management; data analysis. High understanding of databases and Microsoft Excel. Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience of working in the province.

**Key Performance Areas**:
Data capturing of implementation progress of the Gender Responsive Framework Pillars; ensure accurate capturing of data on the data capturing tool; verify data by comparing it to source documents; regularly update the capturing tool based on availability of data; perform regular backups to ensure data preservation; retrieve and analyse data in order to develop informative reports that inform decision making and further programme planning; analyse existing data management systems and recommend improvements; proper filing and storage of all electronic and hard-copy documents after entering data to ensure it is not lost; effectively manage relations with various stakeholders in the Department/province and municipalities Develop data collection systems, analyse budgets data for gender responsiveness. Develop a provincial system aligned to the CGIF and support its data collection, souring and analysis.

**Competencies**:
Excellent attention to detail; ability to perform repetitive tasks with high degree of accuracy; ability to use data management systems; ability to multi task; strong verbal and communication skills; ability to work independently with mínimal supervision; fast typing skills; good command of English both oral and written.

**Remuneration**:
All-inclusive package of R540 000 per annum, paid on an hourly rate linked to a maximum of 1 760 hours per annum.

Accordingly, appointed consultants will not be entitled to additional benefits applicable to public service employees. Consultants will be responsible for personal expenditure related to accommodation and subsistence. All authorised project-related expenditure shall be covered by the Department.
