We are looking to hire an experienced assistant warehouse manager to join our fast-growing company.
The assistant manager will be responsible to assist with the operation of the warehouse, including ordering, receiving, stocking, processing, and distributing of products.
In the event that the manager is out of the office, the assistant manager will take on his/her responsibilities, which will include locking and unlocking the warehouse, and supervising overtime shifts during the week, and on weekends, when required.
From time to time, the assistant manager will be expected to help at events and support the marketing team with events coordination and planning.

**The main deliverables include**:
Receive, inspect and store all warehouse stock
Track a large and diverse inventory and maintain accurate stock levels
Obtain quotes and negotiate comparative prices with couriers
Possess basic computer skills with the ability to use typical office programs.
Ensure that all inventory transactions are properly documented in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Act as the warehouse manager in his absence.
Possess thorough knowledge of all products in the warehouse inventory.
Conduct complete inventory checks as well as weekly cycle counts.
Possess basic knowledge of barcoding procedures.
Practice safe warehouse procedures, identify potential hazards, and recommend improvements to standard procedures.
Making sure that all warehouse operations are carried out in accordance with company policies
Communicating with stakeholders to ensure that they deliver goods on time and as specified by company guidelines
Reviewing inventory levels and identifying slow-moving stock, and or inaccuracies.
Working closely with employees to upskill them to improve their productivity and efficiency within the warehouse.
Coordinating freight shipments from suppliers to warehouses or directly to customers
Overseeing stocktakes within the warehouse, as well as at the retail stores
Composing and completing warehouse transfers
Plan and coordinate daily tasks according to deadlines and workload within the department.

**Experience required**:
High school diploma (Matric)
Minimum three years of warehouse experience.
Vast understanding of warehouse operations
Certification in production and inventory management as well as quality control.
