- In possession of a tertiary supply chain qualification
- Is an independent self-starter who uses their initiative to identify cost effective solutions that deliver customer expectations
- Has a proven track record of at least five years in warehousing / Stock-control of which 2 years are in a supervisory role
- Strong supervisory management skills including experience managed shift work in a unionised environment.
- Strong systems aptitude and ability to think on their feet
- Experience optimising ERP systems preferably Syspro to extract information and improve turnaround time on stock management and customer deliveries:

- Has excellent interpersonal skills that enable them to communicate and build relationships at all levels and work well as part of a team
- Values teamwork and team success above individual glory
- Strong computer literacy optimising excel using pivot tables and advanced features.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Has strong negotiation skills demonstrated by their confident manner and assertiveness in challenging best practice
- Is goal oriented and proactive in looking for new and better ways to manage our stocks and delivery OTIF to our customers; and
- Is thorough in following up leads but tenacious in securing competitive advantage.
**Key deliverables of the role**:
Effectively balances working capital levels with production requirements to optimise cash flow whilst meeting business commitments

Proactively seeks out new opportunities to save warehousing costs

Effectively manages raw material, finished goods and consignment stock

Conducts stock takes on monthly basis to ensure stock levels remain at optimum levels

Implement 5s and GMP systems

Identifies practical user-friendly systems to assist with OTIF deliveries and stock control

Tenaciously follows through on opportunities to improve how we store and distribute to our customers

Operates well as part of a team to deliver customer commitments

Evaluates and reports on progress against targets and provides solutions to problems/ obstacles that may arise

Plans and organises the smooth integration between production and distribution.

Manages small team of logistics and warehouse staff
