**DEPUTY DIRECTOR: EDITOR - PRETORIA**

**R634 639 p/a - 12 Month Temp Contract**

**Purpose**

Editing and proofreading of official documents to ensure grammatical correctness, style, logic, and consistency to guarantee professional results and maintain the image of the company.

**Description of Tasks**
- Editing support to Chief Directorate: Science Communication (media invites, media releases, articles, etc.)
- Editing support in respect of communications to external stakeholders (letters, invitations, Cabinet, Memos, Parliamentary questions, etc.)
- Editing support in respect of internal documents (Exco and Opco minutes, submissions to DG and Minister, HR and Finance documents, etc.)
- Editing support in respect of publications (annual reports, APP, strategies, reports, policy advice, conference booklets)

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
- Background knowledge of Public Service
- Ability to think creatively and write plainly and fluently
- Knowledge of how to verify references and research background information
