**Introduction**:
**Job description**:

- Effective supervision of team’s daily tasks
- Plan and allocate tasks to team members in line with procedures and quality standards
- Effectively construct, repair, maintain, trouble shoot and overhaul all types of mechanical equipment

related to raise drilling according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
- Cost containment through effective planning, no rework, availability of spares and equipment
- Adherence to OEM specifications
- Self and team understand and comply with M&RC’s standards, policies, procedures and safety

protocols
- Proactive risk identification and mitigation, escalate and report
- Effective self and team management and alignment with M&RC’s values and leadership initiatives
- Will be required to work away from home and across borders

**Minimum requirements**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Section 26 Fitter Trade Certificate
- Advanced Hydraulics Certificate(advantageous)
- Valid Driver’s license
- Valid passport
- Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
- At least 5 years of mining industry experience (underground and surface)
- At least 5 years of trade experience as an Artisan of which 2 years as a Winder Fitter
- Ability to conduct hydraulic fault finding, know flow and pressure calculation
- Ability to identify and repair bolts, gears, threads, bearings and machine components
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic schematics
