**Job Advert Summary**:
**Purpose of the position**:
Primary point of contact to oversee all information technology (IT) aspects of the organisation. Responsible for the overall IT management for all projects across the organisation including: hardware, network, software, information integrity and information security.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Honours degree in Information Technology or Information Systems
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience
- Management experience
- Experience in a non-profit environment would be preferrable
- Very good knowledge of relevant legislation (POPIA)
- Clear criminal record

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Primary point of contact for all information technology (IT) activities for the organisation
- Align business development activities with the overall strategy of the organisation
- Manage a team to ensure IT efficiency across the organisation
- Implement the overall IT strategy for a national organisation
- Ensure IT needs are being met across all areas of the organisation
- Conduct quarterly internal assessments of the organisation’s IT capacity
- Recommend interventions, system upgrades, brands and technology shifts in order to remain relevant in the funded space
- Plan and direct the work of the external IT professionals, (e.g.: IT support specialists), Security Operations Centre
- Review / prepare budgets to ensure that the expenditure of unit remains within budget
- Develop, maintain and manage all IT policies and SOPs
- Provide comprehensive reporting
- Interdepartmental support and collaboration
- Timeous processing of all IT related orders/invoicing
- Maintain a standardised intra-office IT system (national) with effective WIFI
- Ensure that data compliance and integrity is maintained in accordance with POPIA best practices
- Attend and engage in board or sub-committee meetings as required
- Assist the Information Officer and Deputy Information Officer with TB HIV Care’s privacy compliance programme
