Product Specialist

Vodacom’s No 1 Franchisee (10 Retail branches within KZN and 1 branch in Sandton) with Head offices in Montclair requires an energetic, dynamic, enthusiastic and tech savvy Product Specialist and Merchandiser.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for increasing sales, training of staff to attract attention to TECH products and providing an excellent customer experience. The goal is to use visual merchandising to increase in store conversion, drive branding and sales objectives as well as maximize profitability.

**Qualities required for the position**
- Must be tech savvy (smartphones, tablets, laptops, internet of things, gear watches, accessories, gaming, gadgets and routers

**Key responsibilities visit stores on call cycle to ensure**:

- Merchandising and product placement
- Train and develop Sales teams on all products and soft skills to ensure they become specialists on all products and know how tp create sales
- Manage instore live devices to be experienced by customers
- Manage stock levels to ensure we are increasing sales by managing attachment ratio to devices and external promotions
- Constant competitor analysis to ensure we are always ahead of our game
- Work closely with the Marketing department to ensure videos, unboxing and new opportunities are discovered. Ensure we are aggressive with our “go to market” plan
- Plan promotions at various malls, exhibitions or high traffic places to drive sales and unearth new opportunities
- Develop the Sales team to be able to assess and evaluate all product returns according to company policies and practices
- Managing redundant/faulty stock and rotations between all Retail stores and Head Office
- Able to create statistics to manage all gaps per store and micro manage Store managers to close gaps successfully.

**Working hours**:
Retail is detail and core time for business is weekends and seasonal periods.

Monday 8am - 6pm

Saturday 8am - 6pm

Prepared to work week end when needed due to promotions. Will be required to work on holidays during seasonal times.
