Qualifications and Skills Required:

- Relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field (e.g., BCom, BCompt, or a Financial Diploma).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role; experience in the education sector is advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial management software (Pastel 9 preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for interacting with parents, staff, and pupils.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the financial administration of the school, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, including special campus events, tours, and recoveries.
- Monitor expenditure against budgets and provide variance analysis to leadership.
- Handle payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.
- Manage and reconcile student billing, including ad hoc items such as music, transport, and aftercare.
- Administer repayment plans and monitor outstanding debts, liaising with parents to resolve queries.
- Manage procurement processes, including placing purchase orders and monitoring supplier invoices.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, statutory requirements, and organisational regulations.
- Control petty cash, reconcile payments, and monitor monthly campus charges (e.g., rent, utilities).
- Collaborate with the Principal and Brand Finance Manager to align financial strategies with the institutions goals.
