Trade Marketing Manager

JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES:
The client is at the forefront of the lighting industry, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Trade Marketing Manager. Join our dynamic team and lead our trade marketing efforts to drive business growth and market presence.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Strengthen and drive promotional and trade spend effectiveness alongside the Sales Management Team.
- Assist product team to achieve in-market executional excellence.
- Understand market conditions and trends to deliver category strategies across all customers.
- Build a gap analysis and work with Sales to develop clear, specific plans for corrective actions.
- Develop and execute in-store activation and point-of-sale material on time and on budget.
- Support new product launches and execution, including developing sales presentations/materials and tracking in-market implementation.
- Stay current with trade marketing trends, competitor activity, and international trends. Share insights with the marketing team.
JOB/EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
Experience in sales and trade marketing management in a similar business.
Proven track record in relationship development to maximize business growth. Demonstrable commercial acumen and analytical skills.
Confident and capable of communicating and operating at all levels.
Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to craft clear, concise, and impactful creative briefs for the design and marketing teams.
Translate business objectives and marketing strategies into actionable directives for the creative team.
Ensure briefs include detailed insights on target audiences, key messaging, campaign goals, tone of voice, and deliverable specifications.
Collaborate with sales and creative teams to align on expectations and ensure successful execution of campaigns.
Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
Track ROI of promotional activities and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Collaborate with trade partners and marketing to create and execute promotional campaigns and merchandising initiatives.
Oversee in-store merchandising, displays, and promotional materials to ensure brand consistency and optimize sales opportunities.
5+ years of experience in a combined role involving key account management, trade marketing, and B2B sales (preferably within Industry/Consumer Goods/Retail/FMCG).
