CORE PURPOSE OF JOB
The core purpose of the post is assisting the SHE manager in implementing and maintaining the Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental management system at Nelson Mandela University to ensure that there is a high level of compliance towards SHE legislations and other relevant requirements.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Efficient and Effective SHE Management
- SHE Data Analyses
- Maintain SHE Management System
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Review and update risk assessments.
- Review and update SHE operations policies and procedures
- Conduct monthly inspections
- Conduct internal audits
- Conduct SHE inductions.
- Assist in closing non-conformances
- Conduct incident investigations
- Conduct emergency simulations
- Conduct SHE awareness for employees
- Contractor management
- Be familiar with event safety procedures
- Be familiar with accommodation accreditations for students
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree in SHE or related field
- 2-3 years working experience
- Experience in the implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 will be an advantage
