We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing weekly and monthly payroll, amending employee details on the payroll system, and submitting payroll reports to management for approval.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Management: Managing weekly and monthly payroll in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Employee Details: Amending employee details on the payroll system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • New Employee Onboarding: Adding new employees to the payroll system and terminating employees who have left the company.
  • Leave System Management: Managing leave requests and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Payroll Reporting: Submitting payroll reports to management for approval in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Banking System Uploading: Uploading salaries and wages to the banking system for release by management.
  • Purchase Orders and Invoicing: Creating purchase orders and managing invoicing processes (can be taught).
  • Debtors Function: Managing debtors function where necessary.
  • Administration Support: Assisting the administration team with relevant duties and functions where required.
  • Customer Enquiries: Dealing professionally with clients via telephone and face-to-face, and managing enquiries from customers both internally and externally.
  • Director Support: Assisting the Directors with correspondence and ad hoc requests.
  • Staff Enquiries: Dealing with staff enquiries regarding salaries and wages.
Requirements:
  • A Grade 12 qualification, plus related tertiary qualification or proven and relevant experience and success in a similar position.
  • Previous payroll experience with good computer literacy including Excel.
  • Experience with payroll ERP systems, such as VIP Payroll or other.
  • Previous working experience in a manufacturing company would be an advantage.
  • Strong financial and numerical ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and grammatically correct written English communication skills.
  • A structured approach to completing tasks and able to prioritize.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and handle pressure.
  • Adaptable to change, new ideas and new challenges.

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience and qualifications. Estimated salary range is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
