The successful candidate will play a critical part in monitoring security platforms, analyzing security incidents, researching new threats, and implementing security measures to mitigate risks and improve the overall security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security platforms and analyze security incidents to identify potential threats.
  • Research new threats and implement security measures to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide training to users to increase security awareness.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in Cybersecurity Analysis.
  • Advanced certification in Microsoft/Networking/Information Security.
  • Digital Cloud Certification is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and respond to security incidents.
  • Proficiency with security technologies and principals: firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations, such as NIST and PCI DSS.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Python and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems: Windows, Linux, macOS.

Estimated Salary Range

R700,000 - R1,000,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
