The eDiscovery Analyst will spearhead and oversee eDiscovery projects, offering expert advice and support to legal teams and clients. This position entails managing the administration of eDiscovery tools, implementing sophisticated data analytics, and ensuring adherence to best practices in data processing, collection, culling, and document review.

• Develop and execute data culling strategies, leveraging advanced analytics and assisted review across various eDiscovery platforms.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of the entire EDRM Model lifecycle.
• Manage document review platform operations, including the creation of coding panels, conducting searches, batching documents, generating search term reports (STR), developing workflows, clustering, and producing document sets.
• Conduct quality control and quality assurance on production sets before final delivery.
• Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing the eDiscovery platforms' password management tools to decrypt password-protected files during inventory, discovery, and imaging processes.
• Provide technical support related to the review platform, including user and administrator training sessions and troubleshooting technical challenges.
• Assist in formulating and implementing best practices for data processing, advanced analytics, and document review project management.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in eDiscovery, offering guidance and support to legal teams and clients.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in eDiscovery and integrate them into workflows.
• Lead and mentor a team of eDiscovery professionals, ensuring high performance and ongoing development.
• Manage legal projects from inception to completion, ensuring effective execution and delivery.
• Collaborate with Cognia's Delivery team to understand client challenges and requirements, providing practical and innovative solutions.
• Facilitate team briefings and training sessions, including the creation and execution of training materials.
• Effectively oversee teams of 10 or more, ensuring productivity and high-quality standards.
• Proactively identify and address risks, issues, and changes throughout project lifecycles.
• Skillfully manage stakeholder relationships to promote collaboration and understanding.
• Lead project close-out activities and lessons learned sessions for continuous improvement.
• Exercise control over project scope and budget to meet client expectations.
• Manage relationships with clients, end-clients, and external stakeholders.
• Plan, organize, and oversee the delivery of work, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop new project management tools and methodologies to enhance delivery efficiency.
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously as required.

• Law degree from a prestigious South African or UK/EU institution.
• Certification in Relativity is preferred; however, certification in other leading eDiscovery platforms will also be considered.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in data culling, analytics, and the use of various eDiscovery platforms.
• Ability to comprehend and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the capability to analyze data and produce insightful reports using Power BI.
