The eDiscovery Analyst will spearhead and oversee eDiscovery projects, offering expert advice and support to legal teams and clients. This role encompasses the management of eDiscovery platforms, the application of sophisticated data analytics, and the enforcement of best practices in data processing, collection, culling, and document review.

• Develop and execute data culling strategies utilizing advanced analytics and assisted review through various eDiscovery platforms.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of the entire EDRM Model lifecycle.
• Administer document review platforms, including the creation of coding panels, conducting searches, batching documents, generating search term reports (STR), and developing workflows.
• Conduct quality control and assurance on production sets before delivery.
• Utilize the eDiscovery platforms' password management tools to decrypt password-protected files during inventory and discovery processes.
• Provide technical support related to the review platform, including user training and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to the formulation and implementation of best practices for data processing, advanced analytics, and document review project management.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in eDiscovery, offering guidance and support to legal teams and clients.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in eDiscovery and integrate them into operational workflows.
• Lead and mentor a team of eDiscovery professionals, fostering high performance and ongoing development.
• Manage legal projects from inception to successful completion, ensuring effective project scoping and execution.
• Collaborate with Cognia's Delivery team to understand client challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
• Facilitate team training sessions, including the creation and delivery of training materials.
• Oversee teams of 10+ members, ensuring productivity and adherence to quality standards.
• Proactively identify and address risks, issues, and changes throughout project lifecycles.
• Effectively manage stakeholder relationships to promote collaboration and understanding.
• Conduct lessons learned and project closure activities for continuous improvement.
• Exercise control over project scope and budget to meet client expectations.
• Manage relationships with clients, end-clients, and external stakeholders.
• Plan, organize, and oversee work delivery to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop new project management tools and methodologies to enhance delivery efficiency.
• Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently as required.

• Law degree from a reputable South African or UK/EU institution.
• Certification in Relativity is preferred; however, certification in other leading eDiscovery platforms will be considered.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in data culling, analytics, and the use of various eDiscovery platforms.
• Ability to comprehend and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the capability to analyze data and produce insightful reports using Power BI.
• Strong communication skills and confidence.
