Job Purpose

As a Technical Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in driving company strategic sales and marketing objectives. Your primary responsibility will be to achieve sales budgets and revenue targets through effective strategic action involving customer relations, communication, and product strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and service the allocated territory and customer portfolio, achieving territory budget targets and growth expectations.
  • Implement sales strategies for the territory and sales channels/segment as agreed with the Sales Manager.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities and identify new needs and wants in the marketplace.
  • Ensure a.b.e.-Weber pricing strategy is followed and profitability targets are met.
  • Drive a.b.e.-Weber specifications with influencers, such as Architects, Engineers, and QS.
  • Compile and submit monthly/quarterly sales reports and volume forecasts, advising the Sales Manager of changing market conditions.
  • Maintain good and effective internal and external communication.
  • Facilitate customer product quality complaints and back-up services.
  • Maintain and safeguard company property and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Matric with Maths and Science.
  • Recognised business qualification, e.g., Sales & Marketing Diploma.
  • 5 years of experience in construction, specifically waterproofing, technical selling, and site management.
  • Professional selling and negotiation skills experience.
  • Key accounts management experience.
  • Credit Control Management Facilitation.
  • Computer Literacy (SAP and MS Office) and ability to analyze data.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Teamwork and good planning and organisational skills.
