Solar Energy Advisor Job Description

Overview: As an Energy Advisor, you play a key role in guiding customers towards effective solar solutions while representing the reputable Isilumko Staffing brand.

Responsibilities:

  1. Site Visit Coordination: Coordinate site visits with the Care Team to ensure smooth interactions with customers.
  2. Availability Scheduling: Maintain an up-to-date weekly availability schedule to accommodate customer requests.
  3. Meeting Requests: Accept or decline meeting requests promptly to maintain a professional presence.
  4. Pre-Site Visit Preparation: Thoroughly prepare for site visits by considering customer requirements, reviewing satellite imagery, and understanding home and roof constraints.
  5. Professional Presence: Maintain a professional demeanor during physical site visits.
  6. Customer Needs Assessment: Understand customer needs, address concerns, and gather necessary information for the site visit report.
  7. Solar Solution Recommendations: Discuss and recommend optimal solar solutions to customers.
  8. Special Requirements: Consult with the Energy Consultant for special customer requirements or installation considerations.
  9. Solution Information: Provide detailed solution information to the Customer Care Team for accurate quotations.
  10. Installer Collaboration: Collaborate with installers, discussing requirements or special instructions as needed.

Expected Performance:

  1. Site Visits: Conduct up to 3 physical or 4 virtual site visits daily, with a combination of both on typical days.
  2. Availability: Be available for Saturday site visits, with overtime pay subject to approval.
  3. Site Visit Reports: Submit Site Visit Reports within 24 hours.
  4. Weekly Activity Reports: Provide Weekly Activity Reports detailing visits, hours worked, and travel undertaken.

Key Skills/Experience:

  1. English Proficiency: Excellent business-level English proficiency.
  2. Certification: NQF6 certification or higher.
  3. Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  4. Electrical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electricity generation, transmission, and distribution.
  5. Home Electrical Wiring: Knowledge of home electrical wiring.
  6. Solar Knowledge: Understanding of solar generation, conversion, and storage in a residential context.
  7. Solar Installation Experience: Experience in solar panel, battery, and inverter installation.
  8. Qualifications: AREP or Solar PV Green Card qualification.

Requirements:

  1. Professional Presentation: Maintain a professional presentation and demeanor.
  2. Vehicle Ownership: Own a car and possess a valid driver's license.
