Marketing Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Marketing Assistant to provide administrative support to our marketing department. The ideal candidate will assist in executing marketing strategies, conducting market research, and organizing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Assist the marketing team in organizing and executing campaigns and events.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive activities.
  • Content Support: Assist in the creation of content for marketing campaigns, including blogs, social media posts, newsletters, and email campaigns.
  • Campaign Management: Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • Data Management: Track and analyze marketing performance data, compiling reports for senior marketing staff.
  • Brand Management: Assist in maintaining and updating promotional materials.
  • Event Coordination: Help organize marketing events, trade shows, and product launches.
  • CRM Maintenance: Support the maintenance of customer databases and mailing lists.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to align marketing efforts with business goals.
  • Vendor Liaison: Communicate with external vendors to coordinate marketing projects.

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Marketing or related qualification
  • 2 years experience in marketing or administrative roles is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing tools
  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
