Key Responsibilities

  • Create and execute regional sales plans to achieve business objectives
  • Support representatives and key account managers with daily operations and provide coaching
  • Evaluate customer and individual performances, and report on regional sales results
  • Identify hiring needs, select, train, and develop new sales representatives
  • Deliver the annual budget for the area of responsibility and analyze regional market trends
  • Address potential problems, suggest solutions, and participate in decisions for expansion or acquisition
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase customer satisfaction and product awareness
  • Manage the performance of a team of detail sales representatives and set targets for influencing prescribing habits
  • Conduct field visits, monitor and develop individual performance, and provide training and coaching
  • Develop a strong and cohesive team that supports each other, and review information from various sources to identify areas for future growth
  • Provide relevant and timeous information to staff to support their sales efforts, maintain and manage records, and analyze data
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, competitors, and market trends, and develop strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to key contacts in the medical sector
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key detail clients, ensure a high level of satisfaction with service and products, and conduct sales and marketing activities to grow new business opportunities
  • Attend and host daily huddle meetings, execute daily 4Dx lead measures, and deliver daily sales goals
  • Attend and host sales team weekly and monthly accountability meetings, submit and manage sales team weekly and monthly results, and complete quarterly business reviews
Requirements

  • Matric and BSc/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field
  • Medically related or Science Degree will be an advantage
  • Minimum 3 Year Management Experience and 5 Year Sales Representative Experience
  • Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs, strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving and negotiation abilities, and proven managerial abilities
  • Computer literate and able to effectively use Excel and PowerPoint, and strong knowledge of pharmaceutical market and medical terms
  • Good knowledge and proven application of administration processes, systems, and practices, effective manager and leader, and results-driven
  • Able to analyze data, make projections, and implement new strategies, professional and presentable, and good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to motivate and manage staff, good planning and organizing skills, self-discipline and effective administration skills, and self-motivated
  • Able to develop and maintain systems and processes, driver's license required, own motor vehicle, and may be required to work overtime
