Job Description:

Job Title: Project Manager - Security Systems Upgrade

Company: Data Centrix

The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience in project management, specifically in the implementation of security systems upgrades. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing project plans, managing resource allocation, and ensuring successful project completion within defined quality and time parameters. A background in security systems, such as Genetec, Gallagher, and Facility Commander, is beneficial. Proficiency in MS Project is also a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solve Complex Project-Related Issues: Ensure the successful completion of projects within defined quality and time parameters
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work with the ICT Programme Manager, Infrastructure Manager, Physical Security Manager, and other key business stakeholders to coordinate project activities
  • Develop and Implement Project Plans: Engage with suppliers, team members, and business stakeholders as necessary to develop and implement project plans
  • Manage Resource Allocation: Track resource allocation, prioritize work, and ensure project efficiency
  • Oversee Project Implementation: Work closely with the selected implementation partner to ensure the successful implementation of the Security Systems Upgrade project
  • Establish Quality Mechanisms: Establish and maintain controls, testing, and quality mechanisms to ensure project success and mitigate potential risks, issues, and challenges
  • Ensure Project Adherence: Ensure project adherence to the organization's project management methodology
  • Manage Invoicing and Receivables: Set up and manage appropriate pricing models, invoicing processes, and monitor receivables throughout the project lifecycle
  • Facilitate Project Team Meetings: Facilitate project team meetings and hold regular status updates with stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Project Management Experience: 5-8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on security systems upgrade projects
  • Project Management Certifications: Certifications in project management, such as PRINCE2 or Agile, are beneficial
  • Security Systems Knowledge: Knowledge of security systems, such as Genetec, Gallagher, and Facility Commander, is beneficial
  • MS Project Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Project is a requirement
