Job Purpose

The Linux Systems Operations Engineer/Administrator position is part of our technical team, responsible for automating, securing, and maintaining reliable systems and network infrastructure. We prioritize supporting our Premier customers with technical queries, dedicated and VPS support, systems automation, stability, and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Resolve Premier customers' technical support queries
  • Provide 24/7 monitoring of company infrastructure and systems
  • Analyze and troubleshoot systems
  • Introduce and integrate new technologies into existing data center environments
  • Manage backup integrity (ensure availability and restorability)
  • Patch management
  • Adhere to security and privacy processes
  • Document systems and processes
  • Ensure optimal system performance and optimization
  • Escalate from support departments
  • Inventory management, report any requirements and shortages to the procurement team based on minimum reorder levels
Qualifications and Experience
  • Hardware/Networking fundamentals preferably in a data center environment (A+/N+) or similar diploma
  • 3-5 years' experience desirable (mid)
  • 6-10 years' experience desirable (senior)
  • Knowledge of Hyper-V/KVM environments
  • Customer support experience
  • Experience in Windows and Linux server management
  • Basic scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python) and CLI experience
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
