This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized and people-focused individual to deliver exceptional patient care and support our dental professionals in Cape Town.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients with a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a comfortable experience from the outset.
  • Assist with dental procedures, prepare patient files, and maintain accurate records of information.
  • Manage diaries, patient accounts, and invoicing efficiently.
  • Prepare patients for dental work and provide clear instructions on postoperative care.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, and assist with dental procedures.
  • Support dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists on procedures when required.
  • Provide outstanding patient care, ensuring high satisfaction ratings.
  • Record treatment information accurately in patient records.
  • Expose dental x-rays and maintain dental x-ray equipment.
  • Offer guidance on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
Requirements
  • A Dental Assisting Diploma is advantageous but not essential.
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Dental Assistant is mandatory.
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar dental assistant role.
  • Proficiency in medical patient software systems is beneficial.
Benefits
  • A competitive salary range of R15,000 - R17,000 per month, based on experience.
  • 20 working days of annual leave.
  • A performance-based bonus in December.
