About the Role:

Totalstay is seeking a seasoned hotel professional to lead our team as Property Manager. As the driving force behind our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless management of our aparthotel, maintaining the highest standards of service, and creating a positive and memorable atmosphere for our guests.

We are looking for an individual with a positive and professional demeanor, outstanding communication and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As the Property Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.

You'd be an excellent fit for this role if you have:

  • Previous experience in the hotel industry with a strong knowledge of Cape Town.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to enhance service standards throughout the operation.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding guest service and effective time management.
  • Ability to organize, plan ahead, and manage workload efficiently.
  • A collaborative and self-driven individual who can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team of staff members.
  • Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically using Google and Internet applications.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in all situations.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to find solutions when challenges arise.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Your primary duties involve:

  1. Staff Supervision:
  • Assigning duty rosters for Front Office, Housekeeping, and Night Audit teams.
  • Ensuring staff maintain a neat appearance and correct attitude.
  • Providing instructions and solutions to the team.
Guest Service:
  • Engaging with guests individually, actively addressing their requests and concerns.
  • Maintaining data integrity in line with regulations and company policy.
  • Handling check-ins and check-outs, resolving guest complaints promptly.
Oversight of Night Auditors:
  • Ensuring night procedures are maintained according to company standards.
  • Managing incidents occurring at night until resolution.
Supervision of Housekeepers:
  • Providing oversight and guidance to the Housekeeping team.
  • Ensuring high cleanliness and maintenance standards.
Supervision of Front Desk:
  • Providing oversight and guidance to the Front Desk team.
  • Ensuring smooth operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Adhering to revenue handling processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Maintaining staff performance standards through proper management.
  • Handling HR matters and disciplinary procedures.

Working Schedule:

  • Rotational day shifts, including weekends.
