Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Death Benefit Claims Investigator to join our team at Old Mutual. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating death claims in accordance with Section 37C of the Pension Funds Act (PF Act).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and trace dependants/nominees of deceased members.
  • Investigate the personal circumstances of these persons and allocate death benefits under a delegation of decision-making power.
  • Decide on the mode of payment.

Requirements

  • Matriculation Certificate (Matric)
  • At least 3 years' specialization in respect of Section 37C of the Pension Funds Act.
  • Working knowledge of Old Mutual internal systems (Omunet, AWD, Craft, Compass, Chorus etc.) will be advantageous.
