  • Carrier and Supplier Management:
    • Negotiate carrier contracts and ensure compliance with divisional and legislative requirements.
    • Develop and review carrier scorecards and business reviews to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement:
    • Develop and implement strategic delivery models for current and future markets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
    • Monitor and analyze KPIs, including empty kilometers, fuel costs, cost per kilometer, payload, and on-time delivery, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Resource and Budget Management:
    • Manage capacity and material requirements from trucks to storage, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and minimizing costs.
    • Oversee budgeting and P&L responsibilities, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control.
  • Customer and Compliance Responsibilities:
    • Resolve customer issues related to service failures, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
    • Ensure compliance with divisional and legislative requirements, including OHSA policies and safety standards.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Coordinate with inventory management and outbound functions to ensure optimal stock availability and customer experience.
    • Participate in meetings to stay informed about company needs and logistics industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Certification such as APICS is advantageous.
  • Up to 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in operational leadership or specialist roles.
