We are seeking an experienced and skilled Commercial Accountant to join our team at Sagen Advisory.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance or logistics, with at least 5 years of experience in the fruit industry. Knowledge of ERP systems, such as Navision or Business Central, is advantageous, as is experience with Paltrack or ProduceLinc. Industry experience in agriculture, citrus, fruit, or related fields is beneficial.

About the Position

As a Commercial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the commercial aspect of our clients' accounts, providing accurate financial reporting, and analyzing supply chain data. You will engage with clients to deliver exceptional service and meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client relationships and provide exceptional customer service;
  • Process advance bills and account sales – Cost Bills;
  • Review costs on cost bills for accuracy;
  • Compile weekly account sales reports and send to relevant parties;
  • Handle General Producer account and Producer Portal queries;
  • Reconcile creditors / Product Vendors statements and system data;
  • Allocate debtors for receipts and clear incoming funds;
  • Follow up on unpaid invoices and request customer claims deducted from payments;
  • Process debtors invoices and sales credit memos – Non-Producelinc;
  • Share data for royalty submissions and compile weekly debtors reports (deb view) and progress of collection;
  • Compile weekly outstanding invoices and outstanding account sale for customers;
  • Apply credit insurance for potential customers and follow up on internal limit applications;
  • Maintain communication with management regarding vendor issues and ensure confidentiality of company financial information;
  • Generate seasonal grower reports and perform ad hoc duties assigned by Senior Management.
