About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Executive Education Business Development efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our Executive Education programmes to corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Sales Targets: Drive sales of programmes through a consultative approach, staying updated on programme offerings and coordinating team efforts to meet targets.
  • Manage Sales Team: Lead, support, and motivate a sales team, providing ongoing training and maintaining high performance.
  • Design and Sell Programmes: Create high-quality programmes and innovative proposals that align with our institute's standards.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing insights into market trends and promoting services.
  • Pipeline Management: Research and identify new business opportunities, manage leads, and report on sales activities and pipeline.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing and business development, to enhance client value and achieve revenue goals.
  • Tender and Proposal Management: Oversee the development of winning proposals and manage tender processes effectively.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate partnerships to expand our business and reputation.
  • Executive Reporting: Present detailed reports on sales performance, metrics, and opportunities to the executive team.
  • New Product Development: Identify and develop new programme offerings based on market research and competitive analysis.
  • Financial Leadership: Ensure pricing strategies align with business targets and margins, collaborating with finance teams to maintain profitability.
  • Campaign Development: Create and execute marketing campaigns to boost lead generation and programme visibility.
  • Stakeholder and Alumni Development: Engage with stakeholders and alumni to generate additional revenue opportunities.
  • Virtual Learning: Enhance virtual learning capabilities, developing new products and sales strategies for increased enrolment.
  • Process Enhancement: Improve the user experience for potential students through efficient and responsive processes.
  • Cross-Functional Projects: Participate in cross-functional projects as needed to support business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Degree: Non-negotiable. Preference will be given to candidates with post-graduate qualifications (e.g. MBA/PhD).
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Business Development role within a Business School.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Executive Education is essential.
  • Proposal Writing: Previous experience of writing, presenting, and selling winning proposals and tenders for corporate clients. Evidence of this MUST be reflected in your CV.
  • Client Relationship Management: Client relationship management skills, with both current and prospective clients at a senior level, in the corporate business environment.
  • Business Development: Able to demonstrate significant skills in successfully identifying, qualifying, and proactively generating business revenue opportunities.
