Technical Leadership Specialist for Short-Term Insurance

The Recruitment Council is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Technical Leadership Specialist for Short-Term Insurance. This position requires a deep understanding of the short-term insurance industry and its complexities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on technical product matters, providing advice and guidance to senior management.
  • Lead the large case review process, presenting findings and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to advisers on complex product queries, ensuring they are equipped to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with product providers to maintain competitive offerings, driving business growth.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams on strategic distribution projects, aligning goals and objectives.
  • Conduct due diligence on products and providers, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Draft and review communications for marketing and advisory purposes, maintaining brand consistency.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for the Adviser Development Programme, enhancing skills and knowledge.
  • Offer ongoing technical advisory support to advisers and distribution teams, fostering a culture of excellence.
Requirements:
  • NQF5 qualification or relevant short-term insurance qualification.
  • At least 7 years' experience in personal and commercial lines within the short-term insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with underwriting and claims processes.
  • Experience working at EXCO or senior management level.
  • Ability to collaborate directly with financial advisers.
