We are seeking a talented Commercial Sales Tied Agent to join our team at Old Mutual. As a key member of our sales force, you will be responsible for providing quality direct sales service that results in the production of business from new and existing sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and execute on innovative methods to build your own insurance portfolio.
- Pursue new clients through networking, cold-calling, and door-to-door canvassing.
- Manage and drive portfolio profitability and growth by ensuring timely delivery of ongoing service and support to clients.
- Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations for clients.
- Provide solutions to clients by selling non-life products aligned to their needs.
- Broaden your client base to secure future portfolio growth.
- Identify and act on cross- and up-selling opportunities across all products.
- Sell according to agreed targets for the day, week, and month.
- Maintain minimum agreed quote volumes.
- Maintain a minimum agreed quote-to-sales ratio.
- Maintain an agreed Non-Trivial Undo – and Cancellation ratio.
- Perform after-sales service tasks according to allocated customer portfolios.
- Monitor and resolve escalated client queries and complaints timeously.
- Manage relationships with clients, ensuring Service Level Agreement standards are met or exceeded in all engagements.
- Retain existing business, including renewal discussions in line with business processes and FAIS Code of Conduct.
- Establish collaborative relationships with other departments (underwriting/pricing, claims) to determine process improvements designed to enhance the customer experience and create easy, value peace of mind.
- Effectively manage time and workloads to ensure deadlines and targets are met.

- Manage end-to-end customer experiences for new and existing business by providing first-line support to resolve queries.
- Proactively suggest improvements in service and relations where applicable.
- Contribute to a service culture that builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations, and allows others to provide exceptional service.
