We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Senior Buyer to join our team at Prostaff Holdings. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and sourcing products internationally to ensure the company's operational needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Product Sourcing and Procurement: Plan and source products internationally to ensure continuity of supply and demand to customers.
- Supply Chain Management: Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials, and communicate any supply problems that may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
- Import Management: Handle all import costings, outstanding order schedule maintenance, and updating, and follow up on all shipments.
- Customs Clearance: Ensure that customs clear all imports under the correct tariff headings.
- Supplier Management: Negotiate contracts, improved prices, and terms of business with suppliers, and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
- Performance Evaluation: Assess and evaluate suppliers, and undertake performance reviews.
- Stock Management: Manage stock levels and stock integrity, and ensure that all stock forecasts are accurate and in line with customer demands.
- Price Negotiation: Manage price negotiations with suppliers on product portfolios.
- Procurement Budget Control: Control the procurement budget and promote long-term savings on procurement costs.
- A matric and degree or diploma or related qualification in procurement or a related field is essential for this role.
- Previous experience having worked in a Buyer role procuring international products is essential for the role.
- Previous experience having procurement raw materials and industrial meat equipment within the meat processing and food industry is preferred but not essential as the company is happy to train the person on their products being procured.
- Previous experience negotiating and onboarding new suppliers would be an added advantage.
- Computer literacy with intermediate Excel skills is essential.
- A strong understanding of the procurement market and cost drives is essential.
A highly negotiable salary package, including benefits, depending on experience gained.
