Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technical Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment according to EHS rules, RCM, and manufacturer specifications, minimizing downtime and ensuring production continuity.

Main Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Plan and execute maintenance activities, investigate breakdowns, and analyze root causes to ensure 95% availability on all equipment.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage daily maintenance subcontractors, coordinate forecasts, and ensure that maintenance schedules are detailed, documented, and implemented correctly.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of all maintenance, calibration, and inspection interventions, ensuring compliance with quality procedures and safety regulations.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other stakeholders to minimize disruption of maintenance activities and ensure effective planning, communication, and coordination.
Requirements
  • Education: Technical University Education in Mechatronics, Electrical, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in railways system/application engineering, maintenance background, and technical background with minimum 5 years' experience.
  • Skills: IT literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), English fluency, analytical capacity, ability to coach others, self-motivation, logical, and organized.
